Each year, we sponsor sessions at the RGS-IBG Annual Conference to help profile and promote exciting PhD research being produced by the next generation of quantitative Geographers. All papers that are represented in these sessions are eligible for the prize, which is adjudicated by independent reviewers.
The prize is named in honour of Prof. Robin Flowerdew who made considerable contributions to quantitative methods in Geography, as well as having played an important role in promoting and supporting QMRG. You can read more about Robin here and read some of their papers here.
